Nominate & Vote
The award was created by the MSIA Executive in 2009 after Andrew Magennis stood down from formal roles in the Association. Over many years Andrew had been an active member of the association’s Executive. He also held positions as Secretary, Treasurer, and President, over a nine year period.
The executive felt the need to recognise Andrews’s exceptional devotion to the industry as a whole, and his endless enthusiasm to get things done. Whether working with government bodies or having competing companies work together to improve their software offerings to better serve the needs of their users, Andrew worked tirelessly to move things forward.
The award was first presented at the MSIA’s 2009 AGM. Dr Andrew Magennis was the inaugural recipient. The then president announced that the award would be awarded annually thereafter to any person who showed “above average leadership and service in the health software industry”.
MSIA members have an opportunity to nominate themselves or a colleague for the award during the registration process. A formal vote will be held prior to the summit.
