Dr Gabrielle Wolf

Dr Gabrielle Wolf obtained degrees in Arts (Degree with Honours) and Law (Honours) and a PhD in History from the University of Melbourne.
Gabrielle has worked as a research associate to Justice Fogarty in the Family Court of Australia and as a lawyer in private practice and in-house, practising in a range of areas, including the regulation of health practitioners, at Minter Ellison Lawyers, the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency, the Medical Practitioners Board of Victoria, Russell Kennedy Lawyers, and Macpherson & Kelley Lawyers. In 2016, Gabrielle was a researcher for the Data to Decisions Cooperative Research Centre.
Since commencing at Deakin University in mid-2014, Gabrielle has had accepted for publication nine articles (in Sydney Law Review, University of New South Wales Law Journal, Monash University Law Review, Hofstra Law Review, Journal of Criminal Law and Criminology and four articles in the Journal of Law and Medicine), a book chapter in Health Law (CUP, 2017), a book chapter in Tensions and Traumas in Health Law (Federation Press, 2017) and an article in the Sydney Morning Herald and Canberra Times. This writing examines aspects of the current and past regulation of health practitioners in Australia, health records and sentencing law.
Prior to joining Deakin, Gabrielle published articles in the Australian Journal of Family Law, Journal of Australian Studies and Australian Journal of French Studies and a book, Make It Australian: The APG, The Pram Factory and New Wave Theatre (Currency Press, 2008).
Gabrielle has taught in Law, History and Theatre Studies.
