Dr Libby Morris
Clinical Lead, Scottish eHealth
Libby has been a GP principal in Scotland since 1987. She now works as a Clinical Advisor for Primary Care in the eHealth Division of the Scottish Government.
She has been a GP informatician for many years and has chaired the RCGP Health Informatics Group and the joint GPIT group for the UK.
She set up Scottish Clinical Information Management in Primary Care (SCIMP) in 1999 and as part of that group has been able to lead the development of national projects for data sharing in Scotland and the UK, including the Emergency Care Summary (ECS and KIS) and the Docman Transfer Project.
She is now working on the GP2GP project, digital services and the communications group of the national Out-of-Hours review in order to improve sharing of information for patients.
She is clinical lead for the SPIRE project.
